Like many cities throughout Washington, the Woodinville WA community was built from the logging industry that settled in the area. Eventually farming became the main industry supporting the city until wineries settled in the area. In 1993, the City of Woodinville WA was officially incorporated.

Today the Woodinville WA community and tourism industry continues to grow. The city is home to over 50 wineries that have made the town a favorite tourist destination for wine enthusiasts. Residents of the community enjoy the easily accessible abundance of activities offered by the wineries and other amenities the city provides. The City of Woodinville also provides residents access to a public library and schooling for grades  k-12. College students enjoy the close proximity to Cascadia Community College, UW Bothell, Lake Washington Institute of Technology, and Bellevue Community College.

The Woodinville WA community has 13 great parks and a 10.9 mile trail to enjoy. Three of the city’s parks connect to the 10.9 mile Sammamish River Trail that runs from Bothell to Redmond.

Festivities kick off beginning in March with the Cityhood Celebration and art festival to celebrate the city’s birthday. Summer concerts run from July through August followed by the Harvest Festival in October and Light Festival in December. Local wineries also host individual events throughout the year. However, in April the wineries work together to host a two day event called the Passport to Woodinville Weekend. Wine enthusiasts can opt for a one or two day pass to enjoy the wines offered at the Woodinville wineries.
